QUALIFYING SOLO & ENSEMBLE FESTIVALS

All regions are to complete their regional or qualifying festivals by Monday, April 21, 2025 and to submit their Solo & Ensemble Application Forms by:
April 4, 2025: All festivals held in February & March
April 18, 2025: All festivals held after March 31 and before April 7
April 25, 2025: All other qualifying music festivals.

Here is the OPUS website for ASAA State Solo and ensemble;
• https://contest.opusevent.com/
You will use the same log in and password that you used for All State. If you did not submit an All State Audition, please create an account using your school email address, and add your school location (if needed).

ONLY directors who have the approval to use the platform for Online adjudications are to pay at this time, each online adjudication is $20 and must be paid at time of LIVE event upload. (I only have two events currently approved for online adjudications).

Directors – Please do NOT pay for State qualifying events until you receive an email from barb@asaa.org, as fees are tricky.

ENTRY FEES
There is an entry fee of $15 per participant regardless of the number of events entered by a student. There are no refunds. (Reminder students are limited to FOUR events).

If a director WITHDRAWS a student or event before the “drop dead date”, there will be NO FEE charged for the withdrawn student or event. The drop dead date for this year is Friday, April 26, 2024.

Schools will be charged the $20-per-student festival fee if:
a) a student is a NO SHOW for the event in which they originally submitted an application;
b) a student’s event is CANCELLED after the “drop dead date”.
c) the director does not give timely notice that a student will not be participating in the festival.

The following additional fees will be assessed if applicable:
• $20 fee for each On-Line Audition submitted
• $40 fee for the use of a Festival Accompanist, this includes one rehearsal of a half hour, the adjudication, and a Command Performance, if applicable.

If a student requires more rehearsals with the accompanist, that student must contract with the accompanist individually. Students needing extra time with an accompanist should plan on paying an additional $30 for each half hour of needed rehearsal time.
