ADVISOR’S QUALIFICATIONS

An advisor is an individual that works in a school’s activity program and has direct supervision of students. An advisor must complete the following courses to be qualified: (See ASAA Bylaw Article 10)
1. Concussion Awareness – It is achieved only by successful completion of the current NFHSlearn Concussion Course. It is valid for three years
2. Sudden Cardiac Arrest – It is achieved only by successful completion of the current NFHSlearn Sudden Cardiac Arrest Course. It is valid for three years

All advisors must be entered in the School Activities Reporting System (SARS). The principal or designee must ensure that the individual has the required certification within two weeks of the beginning of their respective season or have a current approved waiver. To find your current status, login to your Planeths account.
