CERIFICATION INFORMATION
Officials Certification is only for one School Year and all certifications expire at the end of each school year. It is important and in the best interest of all interested officials to become certified as soon as possible each year.
Included with your Arbiter Registration:
• NFHS Certification and Liability Insurance
• Background Check (Valid for 3 years)
• Rule Book (1) and any additional information that may be available through the NFHS & ASAA (Mailed to the address verified in your registration.)
When registering, please note the difference between the following designations:
CERTIFIED OFFICIAL
• On-Field/Court, Referee, Umpire etc.
AUXILIARY OFFICIAL
• Table Worker/Score Keeper, Clock Operator, Chain Crew etc.
State Events (Worker)
• Tournament Director, Announcers, Stats, Security etc.

The Certification Test through Arbiter will be available online approximately a month prior to the ASAA start date of the activity. A passing score is 75% or higher.
In order to be CONSIDERED for STATE TOURNAMENTS, Officials MUST be certified within one month of the applicable season. (i.e. one month from the listed date of the first practice on the ASAA Calendar).
