1A/2A March Madness Alaska Skills Contests

    3 Point Shooting Competition

    Procedure
    1. Each team will select one player to participate in the 3-point shooting contest.
    2. Boys will shoot at one end, girls at the other end.
    3. All players must wear jerseys or warmups that identify their school.
    4. Each player will have one minute to make as many 3-point shots as possible.
    5. Balls will be on racks at five locations on the court.
    6. Player may shoot only 4 in a row from one position on court before moving.

    Results
    1. The players with the best overall score will win a statue; runner up will also get a prize.

  • Bump

    Procedure
    1. Each team will select three players (one guard, one forward, one post/center) who will be participating in a bump competition from the Free Throw line with others in their classification.
    2. Player must be different than the 3 pt. Competitor.

    Results
    1. The players with the best overall score will win a statue; runners-up will also get a prize.
