NEW RULES
2010-11 Season
Added a new penalty of a team warning and then restriction to the dugout/bench area for a head coach who submits a lineup card that must be subsequently corrected with a proper name/number or substitutes added.  2011 Softball Rule Changes

2009-10 Season
Effective with the 2009-10 school year, the pitching distance for Alaska high school varsity softball pitchers will increase from 40 feet to 43 feet. The ASAA board did vote to have this rule go into effect in Spring of 2010. See more rule changes here: 2010 Softball Rule Changes
