Player Concussion & “Return to Play” Information for the playoffs
During the ASAA First National Bowl Playoffs only licensed medical team doctors (if you have one) or the licensed medical professionals that ASAA provides will have “Return to Play” capabilities. The head coach, assistant coaches, and parents will not have “Return to Play” capabilities. If a player exhibits concussion like symptoms and is rules “not able to return” by our licensed medical professionals of the licensed medical team doctor, the player is not eligible to play the remainder of that day, under NFHS rules. The player will not be allowed back into competition until cleared be a licensed medical professional. If a player is ruled not eligible because of concussion the head coach and school administrator will be notified by ASAA staff. Concussion Parent Fact Sheet
